Sustainability Matters 2020 - Circular Economy

Come and hear from Stephen Webster of Integrated Recycling, a company that lives in the circular economy. Integrated recycling produce railway sleepers, bollards, furniture, boardwalks, decking and landscape materials out of recycled plastics.

Stephen will share with you what they do, how they do it and how we can all help grow and support the circular economy. Local company Sketch Group will also be capturing the key elements of what Stephen is sharing via live sketching during the webinar.

You will also hear from Hiruni Peiris from The Northcote Bakeshop and Founder of the Darebin Zero Waste Network who will be talking about some of the initiatives she is supporting to reduce business waste in Darebin.

Via video, you will also hear from other local business leaders that are participating in the circular economy. They will share examples of what they are doing with you and talk about the opportunities and connections realised by embracing industrial ecology partnerships.

During this webinar we will be encouraging you to share your ideas and vision of what sustainable business in Darebin does or could look like. Local artists, Maria Coviello and Bec James will be transforming some of these ideas into 3-D sculptures, made from recycled and reclaimed materials.
