About This Webinar

This webinar will attempt to answer questions raised by applicants around rules of submission, eligibility for funding and other key technical details. The Programs Team at India Health Fund (IHF) will host an hour-long session to provide a background to the Quest, answer existing questions and conduct a Live Q&A with participants.

Scientific Officer at India Health Fund
Sumedha Bagga is a scientific officer at IHF. She completed her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics from Drexel University College of Medicine in 2015. Following the completion of her PhD, she conducted her postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research expertise lies in virology and oncology. Here at IHF, she is a part of both the malaria and tuberculosis program teams and aims to provide scientific acumen to facilitate IHF’s goals.

Program Manager at India Health Fund
Sagar hails from Nashik. During his graduation in Pharmacy, Sagar extensively wrote for The Times of India as a freelance correspondent. He worked in Gadchiroli at the Society for Education, Action and Research in Community Health (SEARCH) for a year-long fellowship to develop a social business model to ensure adequate supply of commonly required but unavailable medications in the villages of Gadchiroli. He completed his Master’s in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. He was awarded the graduate student scholarship from the South Asian Journalists Association and the Outstanding Master’s student award during his studies. On his return to India, Sagar worked on a collaborative project between the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, the University of Gottingen and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He has co-authored columns related to public health in Loksatta, the Marathi newspaper of the Indian Express group and has contributed to various Marathi newspapers as a freelance writer. Program Manager at India Health Fund
Nishant is a part of India Health Fund – Programs Team focusing on Tuberculosis Innovations. He is an educationist and public health professional with over seven years of work-experience in education and public health. He has worked in primary education, maternal-child health, and tuberculosis from grassroots in India to Stop TB Partnership hosted by UNOPS in Switzerland. He was a part of Teach For India and International Innovation Corps–UChicago cohort and worked with multiple non-profits like ACCESS Health International, Haiyya, Swasth India in the past. He is post-graduate in Health-Sciences and Public Health from University of Pune and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine respectively.
