The electroless nickel / immersion gold (ENIG) finish is one of the most mature final finishes which is accepted in the market for decades. For fully immersion type gold bathes the dissolution of nickel is process immanent. Therefore the focus in the development of gold electrolytes for ENIG is moving from fully immersion type electrolytes to mixed reaction bathes in order to avoid the attack on the nickel layer.
During this webinar we will not only discuss the characteristics of the different types of gold electrolytes which are available in the market but we will also introduce Atotech’s new corrosion free solution for ENIG and ENEPIG applications – Aurotech® G-Bond 2.
