The lockdown presented all heads of drama with a difficult challenge, one that may stay with us for a while: how to make theatre when you can't get pupils in a rehearsal or performance space? Drawing on the experiences of 2020, this talk will look at how to set about creating a successful and original audio project, from early planning to remote auditions, rehearsals and recording sessions.

    Alex Thomas
    Head of Drama, Magdalen College School, Oxford

    Alex Thomas is an Oxford-based teacher, writer and composer. As Head of Drama at Magdalen College School since 2013 he has directed around thirty productions, including his four original musicals and a number of adaptations. A keen musician, he has collaborated as a composer with a number of other writers and performs regularly with his jazz trio.
