Leah is a Senior Clinical Data Scientist and Responsible AI Expert at Elsevier, holding a BSc in Nursing and a background in Biostatistics. With over a decade of experience as a registered nurse in oncology and critical care, she has led EHR system rollouts in academic hospitals in NYC, sparking her interest in healthcare technology. Leah completed advanced programs in data science and machine learning, as well as a master's in Epidemiology with applied statistics. In her current role, she collaborates with health education and healthcare organizations to apply NLP and generative AI in diverse healthcare settings, using her clinical and data science expertise to enhance healthcare content and promote ethical AI use.
