Melissa Millione
Corporate Director of Events, Hyatt
Melissa Milione, CMP, CPCE, is Corporate Director of Events for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. She supports all of the colleagues who sell and coordinate catering and conference services for all of Hyatt’s full-service hotels in the Americas. In addition, she is responsible for developing and executing all training, delivering innovative technology to support events and developing talent for the hotels. She leads Hyatt’s Strategic Event Partner team. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Feiertag Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Melissa has over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in all areas of F&B management, hotel sales and convention services. As a Director of Catering her teams have twice been named Catering/CS team of the Year for Hyatt Hotels and she was named Director of Catering/CS of the Year for large hotels in 2008. She is actively involved in Hyatt’s Commercial Services Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Melissa is an active member of NACE and MPI. She is Past President of MPI North Florida and a trainer for the chapter’s CMP Study Group. Melissa has been recognized by MPI North Florida as Supplier of the Year twice (2012 and 2018) and received the distinguished Presidents Award (2011). Active in her community, Melissa volunteers in local schools and is Chairperson of the Professional Advisory Board for the Howard Feiertag Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Virginia Tech.
Amy Weber
Community Engagement Specialist, MOD Pizza
Amy Weber is the Community Engagement Specialist at MOD Pizza. She brings MOD’s purpose to life by connecting and supporting 8,000 MOD Squad Members. She manages MOD’s internal communication platform (Beekeeper), high school diploma program, and program for hiring and supporting Squad Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Prior to MOD, Amy earned her Master of Public Administration at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington and worked at Make-A-Wish and the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington. When she’s not supporting the MOD Squad, she enjoys petting dogs and eating macarons.
Sarah Sorbel
HR Manager, Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa
Sarah Sorbel is the HR Manager at Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, and has been with them for 5 years. Prior to Morongo, Sarah was an Executive Team Leader for Target Corporation and a Project Manager for Broadcom Corporation. Sarah has her Bachelor’s in Marketing and Communications from California State University, Long Beach. In her spare time, she is a competitive age group triathlete.
Andrada Paraschiv
Head of Hospitality, Beekeeper
As Head of Hospitality, Andrada leads Beekeeper’s effort to help hospitality organizations improve communication and ultimately drive employee engagement and performance. Previously, Andrada served as Executive Director, Luxury Internal Communications and Engagement at AccorHotels and Executive Director, Communications & Strategy at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. In that capacity, she collaborated with Beekeeper to bring the nearly 50,000 frontline employees working together as one dispersed, yet united, team. Andrada also served as a consultant with McKinsey & Co., working on strategy and organizational transformations with large multinational companies in the EMEA region. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA in International Studies from University of Pennsylvania.
