To achieve the most cost-efficient solar installation, all hardware aspects and components need to be carefully considered, with module and tracker arrangement being chief among these considerations. While historically limited by terrain and the effects of high wind on a tracker row, one-in-portrait (1P) tracker setups have been proven to deliver reliable projects with low levelized cost of electricity.
In pursuit of unlocking the true potential of 1P and eliminating barriers to utilization, TrinaTracker has developed Vanguard, a new 1P tracker solution designed to conquer the terrain it's installed on and the wind it will face.
In this pv magazine Webinar, our partner, Trina Solar, will outline the philosophy that went into the design of Vanguard 1P, highlighting how the system has been optimized to perform in a variety of complex scenarios and be installed nearly 20% faster than prior solutions.
Presenters Gonzalo de la Viña, Oscar Aira, and Juan Manuel Gómez will join us for a deep dive on Trina’s development and design philosophy. They’ll be joined by Dr. Jubayer Chowdhury from CPP, who will detail the extensive wind tunnel testing that Trina undertook to ensure Vanguard’s built-in resilience.
The presenters will also dive into specific design choices that enable increased energy yield, efficiency, and adaptability and decrease balance of systems cost. Time will also be taken to introduce Vanguard’s supervisory control and data acquisition system, which the company asserts will lead to simpler and more effective operations and maintenance.
