Physician, Cleveland Clinic
Lauren Wichman, MD is a physician with Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine. She grew up in northeast Ohio and completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, where she captained the Women’s Soccer Team. Dr. Wichman completed her medical school training at Wright State University and graduated from both the Cleveland Clinic Family Medicine Residency, where she served as Chief Resident, and the Cleveland Clinic Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Dr. Wichman enjoys working with athletes and active people of all ages for injury diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Her specialty interests include non-operative management of orthopedic conditions, acute and chronic sports injuries, tendon or ligament conditions, and management of medical problems in sports. She provides sports team and event coverage throughout Northeast Ohio.

Physician, Cleveland Clinic
Thomas Watson was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio.  He attended college at Youngstown State University as part of the 6-year BS/MD program at NEOMED.  Upon graduation, he completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.  As a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, he moved to Canton, Ohio in 1995.  With special interests in Sports Medicine, he was the team doctor for St Thomas Aquinas and North Canton Hoover High Schools, Canton Crocodiles independent professional baseball team, Ohio Gears UHL hockey team and had responsibility with the Canton now Cleveland Charge G league basketball team.  

As a general Orthopaedic surgeon, he also had interest in Total Joint Replacement Surgery and trauma surgery.  He and his wife, Chrissie have been an active part of the North Canton Community raising 3 sons. Due to his own orthopaedic issues, he is semi-retired only working in the office setting.  As a orthopaedic provider, his own health issues provide a deeper understanding of his patients problems.
