Featuring Dr. Darryll Pines, the president of the University of Maryland, this webinar will introduce SAME members to Engineering for Us All (E4USA), a group whose mission is to reach out to underrepresented communities. Information on making contact, STEM outreach opportunities, as well as diversity and inclusion efforts will be presented.

Ms. Grudin is a licensed Professional Engineer and the Founder of NovelEsolutions, Inc. She has over 20 years of management and design experience related to pollution prevention and cleanup of bulk fuel facilities, retail stations, industrial, commercial, and federal properties.
Ms. Grudin is a founding member of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals, Tampa Bay Chapter (FAEP/TBAEP) Women in STEM committee. As chairperson and a member of the committee, she has created and led three sold out, annual events supporting Women in STEM. The event provides a unique opportunity for Women in STEM to engage with industry leaders on topics relevant to working in the environmental industry.
Ms. Grudin also volunteered with the Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) providing mentoring to a young female mentee pursuing a STEM-related career. The 3-year, weekly mentoring was a requirement for her mentee’s full scholarship to a Florida University of her choice

Dr. Darryll Pines became the President of the University of Maryland in July 2002, and serves as the Glenn L. Martin Professor of Aerospace Engineering. He is Principle Investigator for Engineering 4 Us All, supported by the National Science Foundation. E4USA is a national initiative designed to introduce engineering design principles to a new generation of students.
