With multiple regions looking to establish themselves as PV cell manufacturing hubs, and new technologies set for rapid deployment, ensuring a smooth ramp up to reliable, high-volume production. In this pv magazine Webinar, we’ll focus on India’s burgeoning PV manufacturing industry and the technologies making their way from lab to fab. And we’ll take a closer at some of the production tools offering the flexibility, high throughput and low cost of ownership to produce these at scale, and the role of big data analytics in offering vision and control of processes all along the production line in maintaining a highly efficient manufacturing operation.
Tom Thieme, business unit manager for solar at Isra Vision, will be on hand to discuss how investment in process control and inspection, as well as the big data analytics to quickly draw insights from this, pays off in ensuring consistent performance on production lines. And for new facilities and technologies, we’ll see how this inspection equipment can ensure a smooth ramp up phase to large-scale production, allowing for easy fault spotting and process optimization.
We’ll also hear from Helge Haverkamp, chief technology officer at centrotherm, about the latest equipment promising the flexibility to handle new technologies, and the reliability to maintain gigawatt scale production at high throughput. Also the innovations in energy use, footprint and other areas promising a lower overall cost of ownership for these tools.
Finally for this program, Lejo Joseph Koduvelikulathu, group leader for industrial solar cells at ISC Konstanz, will place these technologies within the context of India’s burgeoning PV manufacturing industry, and the advanced cell technologies making their way toward commercial production, and how these can best be implemented cost effectively.
