Faculty Interview: Leonard A. Lado, MD, ABPN, RPh (Psychiatry)
We are excited to announce our next faculty interview with Dr. Leonardo A. Lado, Founder and Medical Director of Lado Healing Institute and Medical Director of The Williough at Naples (Psychiatric Hospital). Dr. Lado is double board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and specializes in the treatment of non-Methadone Detox, Oxycontin and Pain Killer Addiction, Cocaine Addiction, Alcohol dependence, and Crystal Meth Addiction using state of the art outpatient Suboxone medication treatments.
Dr. Lado is also the Founder and Principal Investigator at Lado Clinical Trials ( LCT ) which is a dedicated outpatient research facility that specializes in Psychiatry, Substance Abuse, and Neurology. Assuring data quality and validity in clinical trials is of our utmost importance. LCT participates in investigational medications and therapies from clinical trials ranging from phase II through phase III.
During our discussion, Dr. Lado will be presenting his personal journey as an IMG to becoming a US physician. He will also provide an overview of his clinic's services, patients, and rotation program. You will learn the program's key learning objectives and how best to maximize your experience throughout the rotation. At the conclusion of our session, we will open the discussion for questions.

Within my practice, I promote and facilitate my personal beliefs that patients are adequately intelligent in order to understand their condition and that patients deserve to be sincerely included in identifying reasons for and treatments for their disorders. People are intuitive by nature and are capable of deciding who they trust to treat them when they are ill.
The treatment of Addiction, mental illness or any brain disease requires a great deal of knowledge and learning from our patients struggles. Addiction can now be treated without hospitalization in most cases with new and exciting treatments.
