The State of Visibility 2024

Tive’s “State of Visibility 2024” survey delved into the intricacies of shipment visibility across the supply chain industry. The survey collected responses from 244 supply chain professionals and revealed a striking truth: real-time shipment visibility is considered a key component of digital transformation and sustainability.

As a follow-up to this groundbreaking report, Tive and Shipping and Freight Resource hosted this webinar in which a panel of industry experts did a deep dive into the survey results, examining them from a variety of angles.

Moderated by Kerim Antoine Kfuri, President of The Atlas Network, Cohost of The Supply and Demand Show, and veteran supply chain industry thought leader, the panel included insights from Eric Johnson, Director at S&P Global and Senior Tech Editor at JOC.com; Sheryl Franklin, CCO at Lazer Logistics; John Monarch, Chief Industry Officer at CHARLIE PESTI; and Krenar Komoni, CEO & Founder at Tive.

In addition to unpacking key stats from the State of Visibility 2024 survey, the panel took a deep dive into questions such as:

○ Why has it been so difficult to progress beyond a certain level of data quality, despite advances in underlying tech and lots of capital being thrown at the category?

○ Cargo visibility is a piece of a larger supply chain visibility puzzle, but most companies are split along inbound/outbound or int’l/domestic/final mile dimensions, and using different systems for each. How to overcome that challenge?

○ We see in the survey that in 2023, 25% of respondents were utilizing IoT devices, and this number more than doubled in 2024, with 53%. Why do you think that is?

○ Are the global risks affecting any decisions and causing acceleration of digital transformation in supply chains?
