WEBINAR DETAILS
  • About
In this webinar, the third in a series of eight, we consider how researchers can develop effective strategies for managing reading so that reading feeds directly into writing. We first look at different types of reading and reading aims. We then consider the importance of developing a system of categorization of reading texts, understanding that we cannot treat every sentence of every single text as being of equal importance to our research. The next section of the webinar looks at effective ways of recording what we have read - not just in terms of what different authors are saying, but also how we respond to their ideas. Finally we begin to discuss the literature review and its importance in the early stages of doctoral research.
