I promise my students every year that their time in my math class will be their favorite part of the day. I never say why, I let the experiences speak for themselves. In my math classroom, students are greeted at the door and get a high five on the way out. They are free to commune with their peers, share a laugh, and get a lot of work done at the same time. In this session, I will explain a few of my classroom management techniques, goofy games, and school wide initiatives that have students begging for more math classes to take. These methods have been iterated on for the better part of 10 years. My math classroom is a second home for me and my students.
