With Jenni Trethowan, founder of Baboon Matters Trust.
For those of you who follow Wynter's work, you will know that she has always been involved with, not only lions, but also one of our closest wild relatives, the baboons. Namely the Chacma Baboon of South Africa.
Please join Wynter and Jenni in a powerful meditation and prayer specifically for the support of the baboons.
Most people are unaware of the plight these intrepid animals are facing as they are forced out of their natural habitats and onto the urban edge. Being such adaptable animals, means they take great advantage of humans' wastefulness, coming into residential areas to gain the easy food from rubbish bins, fruit trees and kitchen counter-tops.
The price they pay for this is a high one, usually ending in death, when authorities around South Africa, and in particular, Cape Town use lethal management techniques. Numbers around South Africa are dwindling at a rapid rate, with no-one being held accountable or seeming to care.
Baboons are asking us to take responsibility for our environment, to recognise their importance on a physical and spiritual level in this world.
Baboon Matters Trust works tirelessly against ever increasing challenges, to protect this important species so that they are able to roam wild and free in the natural worlds.
We are calling on you to assist with prayer and visualisations for a change in lethal protocols and for more awareness and compassion for these animals.
Any donations go directly to Baboon Matters Trust to support their work for the baboons throughout South Africa.
