    Dr Sophie Lebel, C. Psych
    Professor, School of Psychology - University of Ottawa


    Dr. Sophie Lebel is professor at the University of Ottawa, School of Psychology. She is a clinical health psychologist with a Ph.D. from Universite de Montreal, Quebec. She joined Faculty in July 2007 after completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto. Her research interests focus on cancer survivors and their families, with a focus on developing and testing questionnaires, models, and interventions for fear of cancer recurrence, sexuality, fatigue, stigma, and dyadic adjustment. She is the director of the Interdisciplinary Psychosocial Oncology Research Group and Laboratory, an initiative that brings together researchers, health care providers, community partners, and trainees with an interest in helping cancer patients and their loved ones in the Greater Ottawa region. Clinically, Dr. Lebel helps cancer patients and their caregivers with adjustment difficulties throughout the disease trajectory.
