Geographics in Wolfram Language combines powerful graphics functionality, highly precise geodetic computations and access to a rich built-in geological knowledgebase. This webinar presents a visual exploration of the geologic layers of South Asia, with the help of publicly available shape data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Wolfram Language is used to wrangle the content from the raw files, unpack the geometry data—lines, polygons and filled curves—and explore the options for using and visualizing the data. Further, the extracted information is combined with geological data from the Wolfram Knowledgebase to explore the potential for extracting more insights.
