About This Virtual Workshop
Brustein & Manasevit PLLC and the California Department of Education present a four-hour virtual training on March 24, 2021 on CARES Act and CRRSAA programs for LEAs and charter schools.
Local educational agencies received new funding streams in March 2020 under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Then, Congress passed additional funding in December 2020 under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). New funding brings new requirements for grantees to be aware of and new questions, such as allowable uses of funds, application of the Uniform Grants Guidance to the CARES Act and CRRSAA, and periods of availability. While CRRSAA funding has been distributed under the umbrella of the CARES Act GEER and ESSER programs, there are new and different rules for the funding, including modified allowable uses of funds, that LEAS should be familiar with. Want to be sure you have all the information you need to administer these new grants? Interested in learning how to make the most of your funding? The California Department of Education has asked its federal liaison firm in Washington, D.C., Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC, to lead a virtual training on March 24th to cover these issues and answer questions that LEA grant administrators may have on CARES Act and CRRSAA programs.
