Revolutionizing industrial processes: Non-PFAS based fume suppressants and the future of hexavalent chromium applications
About This Webinar
Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have gained disrepute as "forever chemicals" due to their extremely high persistence in the environment, characterized by long half-lives and accumulation in freshwater sources. Consequently, they have become a significant environmental and public health concern, precipitating calls for stricter regulations and proactive mitigation efforts.
In this webinar, MKS’ Atotech presents a groundbreaking fume-suppressing process that is entirely fluoride-free and non-PFAS based. This innovative solution addresses the challenges posed by PFAS-based materials used in hexavalent chromium plating. Participants will gain comprehensive insights into our Fumalock® process, including its performance characteristics, potential impact on industrial processes, and environmental sustainability.
Join us to explore the forefront of electrolyte chemistry and discover how non-PFAS fume suppressants can revolutionize hexavalent chromium applications while ensuring safety and compliance.
Webinar Topics:
• Overview of PFAS restriction status in regional and global legislation
• Fundamentals of fume suppression
• Discussion on measurement and dosing equipment
• Insight into process operation
• Key takeaways
