Adam is a Head of Learning Area for Languages at a large comprehensive school in East London. Outside of his own Learning Area, Adam has previously been a whole-school Lead Practitioner and has coordinated ITT provision within his school. In his spare time, Adam can often be seen running around the canals of East London.

I am Director of Teaching School for an Academy Trust in the north-west of England but most importantly I am passionate about teaching and learning and educational research in general as well as teaching MFL. I am a MFL SLE as well as a ELE for my local Research School.

I am Head of MFL and Digital Lead at King’s Ely, an independent school in Cambridgeshire and provider of workshops and webinars on MFL teaching and learning, especially regarding the use of technology. I am the author of the educational blog https://MFL craft.blogspot.com and set up the MFLTwitterati Padlet to share good practice among MFL teachers in the UK and beyond. I am also a big advocate of etwinning and Erasmus projects and I have experience running these events as effective tools to promote MFL in schools.

Head of MFL at Longhill High School

I qualified in Secondary MFL in 2011 and since then have taught Spanish and French, leading the Spanish department at both Anglo European School and City of London School for Girls. I also gained recent primary experience teaching at Brentwood Preparatory School. Throughout this time, I have also been an examiner for the International Baccalaureate. Having recently relocated to Edinburgh, I am now drawing on my curriculum knowledge to deliver the SQA National 5 and Higher qualifications, and continue to tutor pupils for both AQA and Edexcel A Level Spanish.

Ben is Head of International Languages in an all-through school where Spanish is taught from YR1 to YR11 and French is a GCSE option. Ben has an interest in researching, trialling and adapting teaching and learning ideas to benefit the learning of languages. Ben regularly creates and shares resources that promote student resilience and independence.
