Transforming Culture to Support Business Strategy

The pandemics of last years has significantly changed how we worked. At the same time, it brought an opportunity to rethink how we want to design the Next Normal. In order to further excel in executing business strategies we need to re-create our way of working, leading and organizing. In other words, how we transform company culture. This presentation share some thoughts on how we at Nokia and in the People organization create a supportive, responsive, and productive working environment that benefits everyone and help us act together.

11:40 Preserving your Culture- starts with reimagining talent management and putting people in the center - Gorana Sandric, Council Director - Employee Experience and Engagement, The Conference Board

Employers experience a radical shift in the preferences within their workforce: some want to work in the offices, and others exit recruitment engagement if the company is not flexible enough about WFH arrangements. Many employees are leaving companies to enter non-traditional employment work (gig), starting their own companies, or reassessing their lives and stepping out of the workforce entirely. Companies need to respond to current realities with a multifaceted approach to be attractive for talents and “worthwhile” staying. It is time to give up the control mechanisms established through strong processes and put people in the centre to preserve the culture and ensure sustainability and long-term results.
