It’s no secret that the world is currently experiencing changes of large magnitude in these unprecedented times. Demand for many products considerably outweighs supply, resulting in longer lead times to get products as well as employer labor shortages and higher costs to make products. Unfortunately, this is the new reality we all live in for the foreseeable future. How can plastics industry compounders continue to compete and stay profitable?

This presentation will offer solutions from a compounding machinery supplier's perspective on these ever-increasing challenges.

    Toby Daugherty
    Field Service Specialist
Toby was born and raised in Ohio, where he studied machine tool technology prior to beginning his career. He made his way west in the early 2000s, when he began troubleshooting machinery in the paper industry. This led him to building equipment as a technician ten years ago.

In 2016, Toby joined Entek as an assembly technician. He was quickly packing his bags to visit customers, and has been doing so ever since. Toby moved into Entek's customer support department in 2019 and continues to assist customers in the field. One benefit of his frequent travels is that it allows several visits with his family in Ohio each year.
