Kate Patton is a Cleveland Clinic sports medicine and preventive cardiology outpatient dietitian at the Cleveland Clinic. She is a key member of the CC's team at the Center for Human Nutrition.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton in 2006 and a Masters of Education degree in exercise science from Cleveland State University in 2010. Kate was awarded the Elizabeth L. Shroeder Award of Excellence in 2006, which is presented at the Outstanding Senior in the Food and Nutrition Program at Dayton. She also completed a dietetic internship at the Cleveland Clinic, joining the team as a staff member in 2007.
In addition to her degrees, Kate is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics.
She is a member of the Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietetic Association. A two-time qualifier and participant in the Boston Marathon, Kate has run five marathons and numerous half marathons. She also served as an assistant cross country coach at St. Joseph Academy in 2007 and Cleveland State University 2009-2012.
Kate is an adjunct professor at Cleveland State University and the team nutritionist at Baldwin Wallace University.
