Digital Transformation: a journey towards 21st century citizen-focused services

ABOUT
Brought to you by Futurescot, this one-off virtual event will chart the progress of Scotland’s public services towards the goal of becoming one of the most advanced digital governments in the world.

With the recent update to its national digital strategy, A changing nation: how Scotland will thrive in a digital world, delivered in partnership with local government body COSLA, the plan puts forward a ‘shared vision of a modern, digital and collaborative government, designed around people’.

In a 1hr 45min session, we benchmark some of the key principles of this transformation journey, including around leadership, culture and skills – which are the foundational aspects of a successful and sustainable drive to build truly inclusive, citizen-focused services.

We look to at how collaboration between public, private and third sectors is enshrined in that approach: whether it’s to create new identity-based digital and payment services, support staff in their Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) professional roles, or to help legacy IT move towards cloud delivery, with new data standards underpinning a more agile approach to government.
