The Biden Administration is reviewing some of its most important military programs – its combat aircraft, nuclear enterprise and aerial refeuling tanker fleet. As the nation prepares to confront threats from China and develop autonomous technologies, will the nation need to retire aging bombers? Buy fewer F-35s? Will it reduce the size of its aircraft carrier fleet? Will it alter the mix of nuclear weapons currently being developed?
In the coming months, Rep. Joe Courtney (D-Conn.) and Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Va.), who lead the House Armed Services Committee Seapower and Projection Forces, will be at the center of those debates and others.
