The Program Manager oversees the production efforts and coordinates the transition activities required to fully deploy a capability. These activities take place during the Produce / Deploy / Support / Dispose phase of the ALF. This session will include a panel discussion from several program managers whose programs are in the sustainment phase. The discussion is framed around challenges faced during sustainment and lessons learned that can be shared with the acquisition community. Topics of discussion will include leverage of the Integrated Logistics SLSP to support sustainment outcomes; approaches to drive sustainment cost savings; consideration of sustainment in the risk management process; conduct and utilization of operational analysis and post-implementation reviews to improve customer experience; software evolution and adaptive maintenance; and identification of emerging Acquisitions while in sustainment; and other relevant guidance from our panel guests.
