Atul BHUCHAR

Group Payments Head, Global Transaction Services, DBS

Atul Bhuchar is Group Payments Head at DBS Global Transaction Services. He leads the strategy, innovation, product development and commercialisation of DBS’ payables management solutions for businesses and financial institutions internationally. DBS is at the forefront of payments transformation in Asia. Under Atul’s leadership, the bank has leveraged on instant, intelligent and integrated payments to pioneer initiatives to make banking invisible, viz., 1st bank in Asia to launch Online traceability for cross-border payments (outgoing payments in Apr18 and incoming payments in Oct20) with SWIFT gpi; API-led instant payables and receivables solutions in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, China, Taiwan and Vietnam, with the 1st launch of API-based payments in Jun17; end-to-end digital solution for regulatory docs/ info for cross-border payments and many more.

Atul spearheads the blockchain-based payments initiatives for DBS GTS and joint development of the Partior platform for multi-currency value movements. He was part of the core team that developed DBS Treasury Prism, the world’s first online treasury and cash management platform for CFOs and corporate treasurers.

Since joining DBS in 2004, Atul has held other roles such as Head of Cash Management in DBS India, wherein he established and led the bank's cash management business across sales, implementation and product, and thereafter, Group Head of Liquidity Management, Liabilities and Accounts, leading a series of innovations for accounts and rollout of liquidity management capabilities across markets.

Atul’s experience spans treasury, corporate banking, securities services, trade finance and cash management. Atul started his career with Citibank in 1997 and then worked with HSBC, before joining DBS. He holds an MBA from Delhi University’s Faculty of Management Studies and a Bachelor degree in Engineering also from Delhi University in India.

Brian LAM

Senior Manager, Fintech Facilitation Office, Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Brian is responsible for facilitating the healthy development of the fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong and promoting Hong Kong as a fintech hub in Asia. Prior to this assignment, he has helped in setting up the operation of the Trade Repository of the HKMA for the over-the-counter derivatives trades reporting regime. Before joining the HKMA, he worked for several global investment banks and "Big-4" accounting firms, both in Hong Kong and London. Brian holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Oxford, England.

Keith DESOUZA

Head, Liquidity Funding Management, Treasury & Markets, DBS

Keith is head of the Treasury Desk at DBS Singapore and he looks after funding and liquidity for the bank. They also handle the bank’s wholesale funding for short-term. Keith has been with DBS for 9 years and prior to that he was with ING and J.P. Morgan. Keith is a graduate from the University of Mumbai and holds a Master's degree.

Leigh is a digital and transformation CEO with enterprise, scale-up and start-up experience focusing on advanced strategic operational methodologies (Netflix / Tencent / Google / Gates Foundation - OKR Modeling), crisis management, capital raising, exit and effective board management.

He has worked extensively in highly regulated environments specializing in financial services, governmental, high data-dependent verticals (such as telecommunications, FMCG, automotive and aviation) through to advanced technology companies such as IOT, Blockchain, and distributed Wi-Fi.

He has also worked in difficult “Lean”, “Agile” & “DevOps” environments in culturally diverse locations, residing in China, Switzerland, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, USA, and UK.
