A Mt Everest summiteer and record holder, Commander Abhishek Kankan has served in Indian Navy for 21 years. He has been a Marine Commando and operated in Kashmir Valley in Counter insurgency operations. He is a Mechanical Engineer, Submariner, Naval Ships Diver, PADI SCUBA dive master, para trooper, and done white water rafting in the fierce Brahmaputra. Cdr Abhishek is recipient of gallantry award, NaoSena Medal by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He did his Basic Mountaineering Course from HMI Darjeeling and was adjudged Best Student.
