Panel Participants: Eric Bogatin (University of Colorado Boulder - moderator), Dr. Klaus Engenhardt (Quantifi Photonics), Chris Armstrong (Siglent), Mike Schnecker (Rohde & Schwarz USA), Gary Simonton (RIGOL) and Dr. Patrick Connally (Teledyne LeCroy)

Abstract:

A scope today is not your father’s scope with a CRT screen and knobs that directly control resistor settings. All modern scopes are digital storage oscilloscopes (DSOs) with advanced analog front ends, high-performance ADCs integrated function generators, and software that manipulates the raw measurements to turn them into meaningful information. This panel brings together the leading industry experts to offer a perspective of what a modern scope offers the engineer, from novice to expert, and provides a window of insight into measurements. You will hear about the latest capabilities of scopes and where they will be in the going in the future. Prof Eric Bogatin moderates this panel.
