ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
This webinar will focus on the way intimate partner violence is experienced within the LatinX community and the complex difficulties that its survivors face. The presenters will discuss the particularities exhibited on the immigrant power and control wheel and the way that LatinX culture can compound the conditions of intimate partner violence.
This training is tailored to the general public and is especially helpful for providers, educators, and students.
About The Center for Family Justice:
The Center for Family Justice (CFJ) provides free and confidential trauma-informed services and coordinates care for all victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and child abuse in six towns in Fairfield County, Connecticut: Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford, and Trumbull.
CFJ provides expert prevention education and training in our communities to create social change. CFJ's goal is to break the cycle of violence by building healthy relationships, empowering communities, and mobilizing bystanders to speak out about abuse and violence.

Laura Silva (she/her/hers) is a LatinX Adult Advocate with the Center for Family Justice. She has worked at the Center since the inception of the LatinX Department in August of 2019.
Jane Dowd (she/her/hers) is a LatinX Adult Advocate with the Center for Family Justice. She has worked at the Center since the inception of the LatinX Department in August of 2019.
Rosario Terron (she/her/hers) is the MDT Family Advocate and has been with the Center for Family Justice since November of 2012. The MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) works with child victims of domestic and sexual violence.
