Promita Chatterji
Director of Journals, Digital Commons, Elsevier
Promita Chatterji is the Director of Journals, Digital Commons at Elsevier. She works closely with global academic communities to understand emerging trends, inform product innovation, and build visibility and impact for open-access research. In her current role, Promita leads vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Digital Commons journals platform, which supports over 3400 international open access journals. She has led numerous initiatives in open access and scholarly communications on topics ranging from research data management, open educational resources, cultural heritage infrastructure, and the impact of open access. Promita holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from UC Berkeley and has lectured at UC Berkeley and Columbia University.

Eli Windchy
VP Digital Commons Consulting Services, Elsevier
Eli Windchy is the VP of the Digital Commons Consulting Services department, widely known for its superior implementations and advising to hundreds of institutions and thousands of journals. One of the earliest members of DC, she started with Bepress in 2005 and with Elsevier in 2017. She maintains, “Success does not pick a lane.” Always listening for needs and trends in the community, Eli introduces new initiatives to help ensure the success of DC clients and her rockstar team. She launched the popular Repository Manager Certification Course (in its 12th year), expanded the team to three continents and four languages, and continually presses product managers, her team, and DC clients for improvements so that open access reaches its fullest potential.
