The Union Cabinet approved the new National Education Policy (NEP). It is the center of discussion and all higher education institutes want to understand what lies ahead. Hence, we are conducting an online panel discussion - 'Collegedunia Connect' to bring the stalwarts of Higher Education together on one platform, wherein we would want to discuss how the new policy is going to shape the future of Education in India.
Agenda
With a special focus on digital education and remote learning under the NEP, how do the Ed-tech players contribute to the dream of equitable access to education?
Access to connectivity - a hindrance to the success of NEP? How can Ed-tech startups solve the gap?
NEP 2020 aims to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio in higher education including vocational education from 26.3% (2018) to 50% by 2035. Addition of 3.5 crore new seats to higher education institutions is expected. Is Ed-tech set to get a bigger piece of this pie?
Tech-enabled learning - the best way to achieve scale as well as maintain uniform quality irrespective of geography or physical infrastructure availability?
Besides overhauling primary education, the NEP would set up a National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and a dedicated unit to set up digital ed-tech infrastructure. What's the role played by ed-tech to provide technological support to higher educational institutes considering that they have head start on it?
