Dr Samira Osman
Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Ramadan Education Lead, British Islamic Medical Association
Dr. Samira Osman is an academic at the University of Birmingham and a senior prescribing pharmacist in the NHS with extensive experience in community pharmacy, primary care, and health education.
She is the national lead for the Healthy Ramadan initiative with the British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA), spearheading national and international efforts to promote safe prescribing, health education, and self-care during Ramadan. Through BIMA, she collaborates with healthcare professionals and community leaders to provide evidence-based guidance on fasting, medication management, and overall well-being.
In addition to her leadership in health education, she has a strong research interest in self-care education and teaches across the MPharm program, shaping the future of pharmacy practice.
