To date, the coronavirus (COVID-19) – officially known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) – has been responsible for over 40,000 deaths across the UK and has changed almost every aspect of our lives.
This week, we’re joined by Julie Barratt who is an Environmental Health Practitioner, barrister, owner of Julie Barratt Legal Training, and legal author. With her assistance, we’re going to unpick the law around COVID-19 and the new enforcement regulations and powers.
The session will focus on the practicalities of enforcement, whether the protocols are conducted subject to the guidance, and prosecution decisions where breaches of the legislation are identified. Julie will draw on her vast experience to give a legal view, however please note that we will be unable to give any legal advice or delve into specific practical applications.
