19th of May at 09:00 CEST
How can alternative currency and voucher systems help liquidity during a crisis? During Covid-19, the topic of aid distribution and liquidity assurance is gaining unprecedented global relevance. While projects like UnBlocked Cash focus on aid distribution to vulnerable populations, new projects like the German dGE (or Diggi) initiative are emerging that look at liquidity assurance in well established financial systems on the onset of an economic crisis. With traditional financing models becoming largely unavailable, new mechanisms for financing and scaling upcoming projects and initiatives (e.g. Coinsense.org) also gain importance during the crisis. This session will explore current developments in this area.
Speakers:
Sandra Uwantege Hart - Oxfam International
Karim Chabrak - Coinsence.org
Marcus Ewald - dGE (Diggi)
