In this workshop, we will present the role officer discretion plays in supervising mentally ill clients in Maricopa County. We will go over the range of options that officer can use in dealing with clients. Supervision strategies are geared for individual clients based on their individual needs and functioning levels. Officer are encouraged to decide on a treatment/probation strategy based that will help the clients be successful.
