Barri began as a family-owned business founded in 1984. For many years, its stores were located in the city of Houston only serving a small segment of the Hispanic community in the state of Texas. It was not until 2006 that a group of investors saw a great opportunity for growth and development that the company offered.

Today, Barri has grown and expanded across the state of Texas and other neighboring states like Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
