2022 WIPN Board Member leading Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
In addition to her role at WIPN, Brown is a Senior Business Development Officer at a large Financial Services Organization, where she does business development providing investment management for retirement plans and the liquidity needs of nonprofits and for-profit institutions.
She started her banking career in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, in 2002, with a regional bank, and moved on to BB&T in 2006 to join their Leadership Development Program.
During the almost decade with BB&T she had the pleasure of not only being a part of their Wealth Management Division as a Private Banking Advisor—she also had the pleasure of being instrumental in the creation of the Preferred Advisor role. As a part of the Wealth Division, she also had the honor of leading BB&T’s local Lighthouse project, where she worked with the local Communities in Schools organization to utilize the bank’s resources in order to donate time, energy, and financial resources to assist the organization in reaching its individual goals for targeted schools and at risk students.
In 2012 Rosalyn moved on the Retirement and Institutional Services division providing comprehensive retirement solutions for local small to mid-sized organizations in the area. She most recently joined PNC’s Institutional Asset Management Team to provide comprehensive retirement solutions to larger organizations.
Rosalyn received her Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Mercer University. She also holds the follow securities licenses; Series 7, 63, and 65 and Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designation.
Dawn Harris
Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Center for Financial Planning
As the first CFP professional to hold this position, Harris is responsible for advancing diversity and inclusion programs and growing the number of diverse CFP professionals within the financial planning profession.
Harris works to identify, develop and implement the key D&I initiatives of the Center for Financial Planning to increase the number of diverse and women entrants into the CFP certification pipeline. She develops strategies to leverage D&I efforts resulting in positive business and social impact. She is also the lead subject matter expert on the Center’s annual Diversity Summit.
Harris brings to the Center more than 15 years of experience in program development and execution, diversity and inclusion initiatives, community engagement and marketing.
Previously, she served as managing director of diversity and inclusion at NASCAR, where she expanded awareness, participation and support of NASCAR in diverse communities. Harris previously worked as director of marketing for the Women’s Foodservice Forum, Chicago, and as a marketing consultant for the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance, Minneapolis.
Harris earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Clark Atlanta University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ohio State University. She also earned a community problem solving certificate from Harvard Kennedy School, Executive Education, and has taken graduate coursework in nonprofit management from Case Western Reserve University.
Margaret Flynn-Martin
Head of the Relationship Management Group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management
Flynn-Martin has been with the firm and its predecessors for over 25 years. She began her career with Shearson, Lehman, Hutton as a sales desk liaison and has held various roles within the organization, including product management, program development, sales management and relationship management. Currently, her team is responsible for managing relationships with over 250 asset management firms that distribute products across the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management organization.
Flynn-Martin holds a B.S. in Finance as well as an MBA in Marketing/Accounting, both from St. John’s University. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Expect Miracles Foundation Financial Services Against Cancer. She is also a member of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Management Committee and sits on the Investment Company Institute Sales and Marketing Management Committee.
