In an emergency, every second counts. That’s why Emerson has developed a powerful Location Awareness tool to help organizations quickly and accurately account for all personnel within their industrial facility.

Traditionally, the way to validate a successful emergency muster is through manual headcount. Unfortunately, this process is both time-consuming and inaccurate, which may lead to potential safety issues up to and including the loss of life. Additionally, should someone be missing from the headcount, a manual validation method provides you with no insight as to where the missing individual is within your facility.

Fortunately, Emerson’s Location Awareness solution has been designed with this exact situation in mind. During an emergency, personnel wearing tags will be digitally checked into the designated muster station as they arrive, providing more accurate records. If a person does not reach their station within the set time frame, an emergency alert is triggered in the Plantweb Insight Location application and emergency personnel can respond to their location.
