Dr. Richard "Jake" Fantus

Dr. Richard “Jake” Fantus specializes in the treatment of men’s health, including infertility, erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, testosterone deficiency and Peyronie’s disease. His clinical focus is on the holistic treatment of men’s health. He works closely with his primary care colleagues to establish personalized treatment plans with attention on lifestyle modifications in addition to medical and surgical therapies. He has a special interest in vasectomies, vasectomy reversals, inflatable penile prosthetic implantation surgery and minimally invasive (and sexual preserving) BPH procedures. Dr. Fantus has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in addition to publishing several book chapters in the field of urology. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for numerous journals, including The Journal of Urology, The Journal of Sexual Medicine, Fertility and Sterility, and Urology. He was also recently appointed to serve as a committee member for the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. Dr. Fantus was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. After completing college at Washington University in St. Louis and medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, he returned home to complete his medical training. He completed his residency in urology at the University of Chicago and his fellowship in andrology, infertility and sexual medicine at Northwestern University.
