Presenters
Billy Porter
Porter’s electric portrayal of “Pray Tell” earned him the historical Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series adding to his Tony and Grammy wins, as well as nominations at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice in the first season. He also won a Gold Derby Award. Again, he was nominated for the Emmy last year and now competes for what many TV critics believe was his best performance season yet as Pray Tell grapples with a ball scene that has evolved beyond him while struggling with his sobriety, his traumatic past and his mortality.
Mj Rodriguez
Rodriguez has been praised for her leading role as the multidimensional Blanca, who upon receiving an HIV positive diagnosis is forced to confront her mortality and dedicates herself to leaving a legacy by forming the House of Evangelista. As a hospice aide for the AIDS ward, Blanca is forced to reevaluate her own life, striking a balance between motherhood, career and a new love. Rodriguez has been nominated for Critics Choice, MTV Movie + TV Awards and Gold Derby Awards. She won the Imagen Award for Best TV Actress in 2019.
Steven Canals
Canals is co-creator, executive producer, writer and director of “Pose,” which won a Peabody Award, the AFI Award for TV Program of the Year in 2018 and 2019, and the GLAAD Media Award in 2019 and 2020 in addition to being nominated as Outstanding Drama Series by the Emmys, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards. He made his TV directorial debut with the episode titled "Revelations" in season 2, which he also wrote. During the final season, he directed three episodes, including the series finale.
