Soren Vinther Hansen | VesOPS
Director
Soren is currently consultant working in own performance analysis company. He has previously worked as COO for Vessel Performance Solutions. Has worked for ABS as Assistant Director for Vessel Performance and headed the Vessel Performance Services for the Advisory Services in ABS. Has worked as a Vessel Performance Specialist in A.P. Moller-Maersk, Propulsion Dynamics and Principia North and was for a period Associate Professor at Svendborg International Maritime Academy (SIMAC) where focus was on Nautical Operations and Safety. Has operational experience from a long career as a Master Mariner with various Shipping Companies in Denmark. He has a PhD degree in Naval Architecture from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and also holds a MSc degree in Marine Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Nicholas Rodrick | Spire Global, Inc.
Meteorologist
Nick Rodick studied Meteorology at the State University of New York at Oswego in the United States where his research focused on mesoscale meteorology of the Great Lakes and Ocean effect storm systems. Nick also has a passion for business and risk management surrounding climate and weather as he worked closely to understand ways to predict and mitigate financial risk of climate change through the combination of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and financial instruments such as weather derivatives. As part of Spire Weather, Nick is a Sales Development Representative and Meteorologist, helping companies gain access to weather predictions that utilize Spire’s commercial low-earth orbiting satellite constellation.
Lajos Holmslykke | TORM
Marine Master Performance
Educated Marine Master from Svendborg Nav school in DK. Worked in Maersk (Container vessels) 20 years where I left in 2014.In Maersk I headed the Energy Efficiency department After Maersk I took up a leading role as Head of Performance in Thorco Projects (MPP Vessels) Joined Torm (Tankers) in 2019 where we created a commercial voyage optimization position leading all routing activities under the commercial department. The role includes our path to digitalize our activities in regards to routing and optimization while vessels are underway.
Alexandre Stegner | Amphitrite
CEO
Senior CNRS researcher and Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique in France, Alexandre has twenty years of experience in research related to physical oceanography, numerical modeling, oceanographic campaigns, and processing satellite data through Machine Learning. Alexandre, co-founded AMPHITRITE in December 2021 together with two colleagues, Briac and Evangelos, to promote concrete applications of past research and establish a European reference in OceanTech for the needs of Shipping, Defence, and the Environment. CEO of AMPHITRITE, Alexandre is directing the company that fuses multiple satellite and in-situ data, harnessing Artificial Intelligence, to provide reliable oceanic data and innovative routing solutions, necessary for the Green Shipping transition. Essentially, AMPHITRITE delivers reliable information to make the right decisions at sea.
Jacob Clausen | Navtor
Managing Director
Jacob Clausen is COO of NavFleet and Managing Director of NAVTOR Denmark.
He has in the past 15 years been working within optimizing design and operation
of ships with the aim of enhancing efficiency and reducing GHG.
During his career he has been working on a large variety of projects covering topics
such as performance optimization, innovation management, big data and decision
support models. He formerly held positions as Director at Marorka,
Innovation Manager at Maersk, Sales & Product Manager at Force Technology.
He holds a degree in Naval Architecture from the Technical University of Denmark.
