Helen oversees the digital programs including the NAA Career Webinar Series along with the NAA Career Podcast, Northwestern Intersections, to provide career advancement resources for the alumni network. She is passionate about engaging alumni to share their stories of how Northwestern has impacted their lives.

Corinne Vargas is a specialist in leveling the workforce playing field and enabling others to be seen for their unique talents and authentic selves by highlighting strengths, accomplishments and desired messages. She started her career as a consulting actuary for Deloitte, where she served clients from various backgrounds and gained a strong analytical background in both statistics and effective business communication.

In 2019, Corinne launched a start-up called Smart Charts to support people of all ages and backgrounds throughout their path to betterment, development and rebuilding. She realized her work in business was also relevant to those developing skills outside of the business world and developed a quantitative model to help support healthcare and education practitioners. The application simplifies goal writing, automates documentation and visualizes progress along the continuum of recovery and learning.

Corinne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor of Science from Utah State University and a Master of Science in Speech, Language and Learning from Northwestern University. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and holds her Clinical Competency Certificate from the American Speech and Hearing Association. She currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
