The rapid technological development in the battery energy storage space is reshaping the way systems are deployed and operated. Among a variety of cutting-edge features, modularity stands out as the next big trend in commercial and industrial product design.
The relatively lightweight, stackable units allow for optimized space utilization and faster deployment as compared to large single-unit systems, which usually involve special lift equipment and complex wiring. They allow project owners and operators to match the project’s capacity to their exact requirements, which may change over the lifetime of the system, as well as integrate new features at a later stage and analyse system data in a streamlined fashion.
With its latest product, Sigenergy is bringing to the market a new design concept for large C&I projects which is also compatible with utility-scale scenarios. Its SigenStack BAT 12.0 is a DC-coupled system which allows from 4 to 21 modules to be connected per hybrid inverter with a maximum output power of 110 kW. With modules stacked on top of each other, the company is proposing what is regarded as a unique stacking in the utility-scale space.
Will Hall, managing director at Sigenergy, Australia & New Zealand, will be joining us to present hard figures and calculations on savings realized through system modularity in terms of OPEX, CAPEX, as well as revenue potential. He will also discuss the importance of cloud-native architecture for efficient energy management and optimal operation modes, including virtual power plant- and dynamic tariff-support across different geographies.
Thomas Hillig, the founder and managing director of THEnergy, will provide insights into the safety features of Sigenergy’s products.
