Yasmine Dannawy
Head of Senior School, St Christophers in Bahrain
Yasmine Dannawy is an experienced Senior leader having worked in the Middle East for over 17 years. Currently Head of Senior School at St Christophers in Bahrain, she thoroughly enjoys bringing new experiences to the student body enabling them to embrace the world and what it will challenge them with. An experienced Headteacher having worked in the Gulf region for over 16 years, Yasmine enjoys leading St Chris Senior school and has most recently come from Canada where she is pursuing her PHD studies in international education at Queens University, Kingston ON. A third culture kid who has lived and worked across three continents, she is always pleased to share her favourite poem or Shakespearean quote never forgetting her roots of teaching English. With over 28 years of experience and most recently 16 years working in International schools in Dubai, her ethos in life is to encourage, grow and inspire young people each and every day. Yasmine is trilingual, speaking English, French, and her native Arabic. Yasmine brings a wealth of experience of change management in schools, experience of inspecting schools in the region and a breadth of knowledge of accreditation systems having been KHDA inspected 10 times, and undertones the CIS, COBIS, and NEASC inspections. Having led British, American, and Canadian schools she is most looking forward to sharing the vision of the St Chris community of inspiring role models for the world. A lover of the arts and a great supporter of all sporting activities, Yasmine will often be found on the sidelines or in the audience at the shows and concerts supporting and encouraging student endeavours.
