About this Webinar
Music, and other creative arts therapies, can benefit many individuals and be used to treat a variety of physical and psychological concerns. Plucking a harp can build finger strength; a drum circle can develop social connections; song lyrics can be a jumping off point for cognitive, communicative, and emotional development. The diverse nature of music therapy means it has many intersections in rehabilitation, development, and wellness and can be used in tandem with other kinds of therapies.
Leslie Jabara Wrenn ’95—a board certified (MT-BC) and IACAT-registered music therapist based in Dublin, IE—will offer background on the application of music therapy and as well as other creative arts therapies. And through a combination of her experience in the field and real-life examples from her practice, Wrenn will guide us through the significance of music therapy and how it can be used to improve quality of life.
