About ADHD Awareness week 2024
為響應本年度美國ADHD關注月,Let’s Talk ADHD將於2024年10月26至 11 月 2日,聯同香港成人專注力協會一同舉辦第五屆香港ADHD關注周。今年主題為「家人拍住上 挑戰成力量」,本會將聯同國際及本地的ADHD學者、機構及組織,以及ADHD名人嘉賓,舉辦一系列線上講座及實體活動,以助提升ADHD患者、業界專家及公眾對ADHD的認識,協助他們了解國際治療ADHD的最新發展。
我們將透過各種線上講座及實體活動協助家長強化家庭力量,培育ADHD子女健康成長,同時亦支持ADHD成人在自我形象、職場、人際關係上健康發展。關注周的目標是發掘和接觸到社會上尚未被識別的ADHD患者,並倡導大家重視身心健康,克服職場、社交和生活中的困難。透過這次的活動,我們期望協助大眾了解成人和青少年ADHD患者在學業、家庭、社交及工作中面對的考驗,並認識如何與他們相處及善用他們的天賦。
In response to the 2024 ADHD Awareness Month in the United States, Let's Talk ADHD, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Adult ADHD Association, will host the 5th Hong Kong ADHD Awareness Week from October 26 to November 2, 2024. This year's theme, "Empowering Families: Turning ADHD Challenges into Strengths," highlights the role of family support in managing ADHD.
Throughout the week, we will bring together international and local ADHD experts, organizations, and guest speakers for a series of online seminars and in-person events. These initiatives aim to raise awareness among individuals with ADHD, professionals, and the general public, while also highlighting the latest advancements in ADHD treatment.
Our focus will be on helping parents strengthen family bonds and nurture the healthy development of children with ADHD. We also aim to support adults with ADHD in improving their self-esteem, professional life, and relationships. The ultimate goal of ADHD Awareness Week is to reach undiagnosed individuals and advocate for better mental health, helping everyone overcome challenges in the workplace, social life, and beyond.
Through these activities, we hope to deepen the community's understanding of the experiences of adults and adolescents with ADHD, both in their personal and professional lives, while fostering an environment of empathy and appreciation for their unique strengths.
