Welcome!
ASIS&T is proud to host its 83rd Annual Meeting and inaugural online conference in 2020. Our meeting theme, "Information for a Sustainable World: Addressing Society's Grand Challenges” presents an opportunity for us to take on wicked problems and seek solutions through the most powerful tool in our arsenal…information. This meeting is a call to action for the information professional community (researchers, practitioners, educators, students, stakeholders) to respond to the United Nations 2030 Agenda. "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" is an ambitious plan of action for sustainable, universal development. It will be an exciting and robust virtual conference experience and will feature over 50 sessions on a variety of topics; 10 interactive workshops and skills-building tutorials; over 100 posters that will be presented electronically throughout the meeting dates; and a keynote address by Houman Haddad. Houman Haddad is the Head of Emerging Technologies at the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). Through a combination of live and recorded sessions, participants will hear from experts in the field on a variety of information topics and issues.
